GS-Hydro is owned by Ratos, a NASDAQ OMX-listed private equity conglomerate. Prior to joining GS-Hydro, Kristiina served as CFO of Marioff Corporation Oy, a United Technologies Corporation subsidiary. Before this, she held various finance positions at companies including Nokia, Masterfoods, Sonera and Samsung. "Kristiina brings crucial financial leadership abilities, and an extensive background in accounting and reporting to Cavotec," says Cavotec's Group CEO Ottonel Popesco.     KATHMANDU, Feb. 24 -- Thousands of depositors of Employment Provident Fund (EPF) and staff members of EPF and other lending partners of Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project Ltd (UTKHPL) thro-nged collection centers across the country on the first day of the project's Initial Public Offering (IPO) on Monday.

    UTKHPL opened application for IPO to the depositors of EPF, staff members of lending institutions and Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) on Monday. The application for locals of Dolakha, where the project is located, will be opened only from April 1, according to UTKHPL.

    EPM commissions Bonyic hydropower plant in Panama

    Built by EPM Group subsidiary Hidroecológica del Teribe (HET), the $314m hydropower plant is located in the Changuinola district, Bocas del Toro province, in Panama's northeast, on the border with Costa Rica.

    EPM chief executive officer Juan Esteban Calle Restrepo said: "the Bonyic plant has already subscribed energy supply agreements at 15 years with Panamanian distribution companies.

    "We are very pleased with Bonyic's start of operations since the plant will provide reliability to the Panamanian power system, and by being hydraulic rather than thermal, it will contribute to lowering energy tariffs, thus improving the Panamanian families' life quality and economy."

    Power generated from the facility will be supplied to the Panama interconnected electricity system at the Changuinola-Charagre substation through a 115kV transmission line.
