International Hydropower Association publishes the GHG Measurement Guidelines for Freshwater Reservoirs (Aug 31, 2010)

The International Hydropower Association has published the first edition of the GHG Measurement Guidelines for Freshwater Reservoirs, the current standard on measuring greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from reservoirs, IHA reported.

Coalition files complaint against Obama salmon plan (Aug 26, 2010)

A coalition of fishing business representatives and conservation groups have renewed their opposition to the federal salmon plan by filing an updated complaint with the U.S. Federal District Court in Portland, Oregon. The complaint states that the plan, released in May, violates the federal Endangered Species Act, the Clean Water Act and other federal laws.
