Bosnia utility awards contracts for Capljina project


A Bosnia utility awarded four contracts totaling 2.9 million euros (US$4.3 million) to supply electrical equipment for the 430-MW Capljina pumped-storage project, one of Bosnia’s largest hydroelectric plants.

The utility, JP Elektroprivreda Hrvatske Zajednice Herceg Bosne d.d., awarded a 1.1 million-euro contract to the Dalekovod/ABB joint venture to supply 220-kilovolt cables. ENERGOCONTROL Zagreb d.o.o. received an 879,860-euro contract to supply an excitation system and a 702,898-euro contract to supply a 35-kilovolt switchgear. A consortium comprised of KONCAR Montazni Inzinjering d.d. and Fleck Elektroinstallationen GmbH was awarded a 246,550-euro contract to supply 220-kilovolt measuring transformers and surge arrestors.
