Andritz becomes co-owner of Idaho-based machine and supply company


International technology group Andritz has acquired 51 percent ownership in Idaho-based Precision Machine & Supply Inc., company leaders reported.

Precision, with offices in Lewiston, Idaho, and Spokane, Wash., provides a range of industrial services, from fabrication and machining to repair and rebuild work for pumps, turbines and other equipment.

Precision remains an independent C corporation, with Andritz controlling 51 percent of the shares, Precision President Dan Wenstrom confirmed.

Wenstrom will remain co-owner and president of Precision.

Andritz maintains operations in the hydropower, pulp and paper, metals, environmental and process, and feed and biofuels industries.

Andritz has 35 production facilities and more than 120 affiliates and distribution firms around the world.
