American Rivers and the National Hydropower Association will host a workshop at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington, D.C., Jan. 28, 2010 focusing on hydropower and climate change.
This workshop, “Climate Change and Hydropower Management: Is Existing Science Useful Yet?,” will offer an opportunity to discuss hydropower and climate change with members of the hydropower industry and the conservation community.
Join top climate scientists, government representatives, resource agencies, industry representatives and conservation groups to learn more about and discuss climate change science and related issues.
The keynote speaker is Roger Ballentine – president, Green Strategies, Inc., former chairman of the White House Climate Change Task Force and deputy assistant to President Clinton for environmental initiatives, lecturer on law at Harvard Law School and a senior fellow at the Progressive Policy Institute in Washington, D.C.
