The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has extended the deadline for expressions of interest from architect-engineering firms to provide multi-disciplinary services in support of civil works and some military projects, mainly in the Corps' Southwestern Division. Responses now are due Feb. 5, 2010.
The Corps previously called for responses by Jan. 27, saying it would award up to two indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity contacts about April 9, each contract for a cumulative amount of US$27.5 million. (HydroWorld 1/7/10) Most of the work is to be performed in the Southwestern Division, including Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and New Mexico. In unique cases, work might be performed in other regions.
Services are expected to include engineering analyses and design, civil works and water resources planning including hydropower, hydrology and hydraulic modeling, mapping services, cultural resources and environmental studies, hazardous and radioactive waste investigations, and others.
An updated pre-solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. W9126G10R0034 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box. Prospective bidders must be registered on the Central Contractor Registration Internet site, www.ccr.gov.
