Khani takes position with Miller Hydro Group

David Khani

David Khani, formerly principal engineer/project manager with Processes Unlimited International (now Stantec) is now president and chief regulatory officer with Miller Hydro Group.

Khani has more than 16 years of experience providing construction, engineering and system analysis consulting services to the power, utility, alternative energy, hydro, water, oil and natural gas industries. His experiences have included the development of codes, standards and procedures; design of reservoir systems; powerhouse operations; dam safety; permitting; regulations; market design; and much more.

His recent work has been focused on supervising powerhouse and plant operations and optimizing the operational costs of large-scale mixed power generation system in the state of Maine and in Saskatchewan in Canada.

Miller Hydro Group owns the 19.4-MW Worumbo project on the Androscoggin River in Maine.

Khani is a registered professional engineer and a member of the technical papers committee for HydroVision International.
