The U.S. Society on Dams has announced a number of deadlines in advance of its Annual Meeting and Conference.
Due Feb. 21 are nominations for USSD's Lifetime Achievement and Excellence in the Constructed Project awards.
The organization said the Lifetime Achievement award will "honor an individual whose lifetime of dedication and achievement has contributed significantly to the dam engineering profession".
Meanwhile, the Excellence in the Constructed Project award will honor an individual or team of professionals "who meet the challenges of the nation's aging infrastructure in an era of limited financial resources and increasing environmental awareness".
The awards will be presented at a banquet during the conference, along with the USSD's President's Award and outstanding papers awards.
