  • Hydroelectric power industry service provider NAES appoints Fishman president and CEO

Washington-based energy developer NAES Corp. has named Robert E. Fishman president and chief executive officer.

Fishman brings more than 25 years of experience in project and strategy development, corporate leadership, plant operation and maintenance, construction management, and engineering. Before joining NAES, he served as chief operating officer of General Atomics, chief executive officer of Areva Solar (then known as Ausra Inc.), executive vice president of operations in Calpine’s engineering and development division, and president of PB Power Inc., a subsidiary of Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Fishman is taking the place of former President and CEO John P. Brewster, who joined NAES in 2010. Brewster took the position of chairman and CEO at Ecosphere Technologies Inc. -- a water engineering, manufacturing, and technology license company -- in January.

NAES is a 30-year service provider for the energy industry, including hydroelectric power. The company provides services including turbine inspections/overhauls, staffing, maintenance, retrofitting, construction, and operation and maintenance to help plant owners and operators increase efficiency and effectiveness at their hydropower plants.
