Underwater technology company expands operation

EdgeTech Logo

Underwater technology developer EdgeTech has expanded its main office in West Wareham, Mass., giving the company more than 30,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space.

EdgeTech, which produces a number of side-scan sonars, sub-bottom profilers, bathymetry systems, AUV-based sonars and deep sea acoustic release systems with hydroelectric power industry applications, said the expansion is its second in less than two years.

The new space will be used to build commercial off-the-shelf and customized sonar products, EdgeTech said, with the majority being allocated for engineering and manufacturing. Supporting office personnel will also be located in the new addition.

HydroWorld.com reported in May that the company had added industry veteran Les Ford to its consultancy team.
