Knight Construction wins contract for gate rehab at Green Peter hydropower plant

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a US$3.5 million contract to Knight Construction & Supply Inc. for tainter gate rehabilitation at the 80-MW Green Peter hydropower project in Oregon.

The Corps' Portland District most recently solicited bids for the work in August.

According to the tender, Knight Construction will rehab one tainter gate, with an option for a second.

The tender also included a bid for similar repair work at Fall Creek Dam, which was also awarded to Knight Construction.

The company also recently won a contract from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation to refurbish gates at Prosser Creek Dam in California.
