Voith announces name change for Swedish branch

Swedish hydroelectric technology group VG Power AB will now operate under the name Voith Hydro AB, effective immediately, in an effort to capitalize on Voith's established brand.

Voith Hydro acquired a 51% majority stake in VG Power AB in 2006, and has since increased its share to 100%.

"The name change enhances our role we have within the Voith Hydro group since 2006," Voith Hydro AB CEO Stefan Borsos said. "Our specific expertise in generators together with Voith Hydro's long-term experience in complete hydropower solutions is appreciated by our customers and successful both locally and globally."
