In-Situ releases new water quality monitoring device

Technology developer In-Situ Inc. has released a new product designed to help hydropower plant owners and operators monitor the water quality around their projects.

Called the smarTROLL Multiparameter (MP) Handheld, In-Situ said the monitor "combines industry-leading water quality sensors with revolutionary smartphone mobility."

Using applications designed for Apple iOS devices, users can connect the smarTROLL MP device to a battery pack that allows the mobile app to monitor and display 14 water quality parameters. The iSitu app also allows users to tag sample locations with GPS coordinates and photos.
