GGB Bearing Technology is now offering two new metallic bearing materials, the hydro project parts manufacturer has announced.
GGB Bearing Technology -- formerly Glacier Garlock Bearings -- said both new bearings are self-lubricating, provide high load capacities, operate in a broad range of temperatures are corrosion resistant.
The first, called the "GGB-CSM" series, are made of solid metal, while the second, "GGB-CBM", features sliding layers sintered on to metallic backings.
Both GGB-CSM and GGB-CBM bearings are manufactured using a powder metallurgy process to produce a metallic matrix with a homogeneously distributed solid lubricant, GGB Bearing Technology said.
GGB-CSM bearings are available in a range of alloys, including bronze, iron and nickel, while the GGB-CBM series is available in a range of bronze alloys, stainless steel and carbon.
GGB Bearing Technology has production facilities in the United States, Germany, France, Brazil, Slovakia and China.
