URS Group Inc. has received a US$6 million contract award for specialized architect-engineer services for a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' dam safety program.
The Corps' Kansas City District last solicited bids for the work in July 2012 for support to its Risk Management Center on Dam, Levee, and Flood Risk Management Structures.
As per the contract, URS Group Inc. will provide administrative and programmatic support, foreign language engineering and scientific translation, facilitation, technical and expert analyses, and design support congruent with the mission of the Institute for Water Resources Risk Manage Center program.
The Corps' Risk Management System leads, manages and executes the risk engineering aspects of Corps dam safety programs.
