  • Polish utility names supplier for Otmuchow hydropower plant rehab

Energoprojekt Warszawa S.A. has won a contract worth US$12.2 million to replace two turbine-generators at the 4.8-MW Otmuchow hydropower project on Poland's Nysa Klodzka River.

Polish utility Tauron Ekoenergia sp.z.o.o. last sought bids for the work in April.

The Otmuchow hydroelectric plant was constructed in 1933 and is currently undergoing modernization work, which will see Energoprojekt Warszawa replace Units TZ-1 and TZ-2 with 3-MW vertical Kaplan turbines which will have a total installed capacity of 6 MW.
