Emagineered Solutions, Inc. has completed the installation of a waterstop system at the 1,038-MW Wanapum hydroelectric plant on the Columbia River in Washington.
Emagineered's system, which it calls "CYLutions" is "specifically designed and installed to resolve troublesome expansion joint leakages located amidst hydro infrastructure", the Oregon-based company says.
ESI's work at the Wanapum hydropower project included the installation of its product in two monolith joints. The company has previously completed work on three of Wanapum's other monolith joints.
Wanapum was constructed in 1963 and is owned and operated by the Grant County Public Utilities District. Wanapum and its sister hydropower plant, the Priest Rapids project, have a total combined capacity of nearly 2,000 MW.
