Hungarian hydroelectric operator Tiszaviz Vizeromu Kft. Has awarded a contract worth US$617,476 to Pinter Muvek for work at the 28-MW Kiskore hydropower facility.
The utility last solicited bids for the work in June, which calls for the two-piece welded construction of a turbine impeller ring.
Work on the project is expected to take nine months.
The Kiskore hydroelectric plant is located on the Tisza River. The plant was constructed in 1974, with upgrades to its four 7-MW bulb turbines made between 2003 and 2006.
