  • Engineering firms Royal Haskoning and DHV complete merger

    AMERSFOORT, The Netherlands 7/9/12 (PennWell) -- Engineering consulting firms Royal Haskoning and DHV have officially completed their merger, forming a new company to be called Royal HaskoningDHV.

    The company will be headquartered in Amersfoort, with nearly 8,000 employees spread across 100 offices in 35 countries.

    "Our newly merged company will apply its multidisciplinary skills, knowledge, experience and history to deliver added value to our clients on a wider global reach," says executive board chairman Bertrand van Ee.

    The executive board will also include Erik Oostwegel as vice-chair, Jaska de Bakker as chief financial officer, and Piet Besselink, Frank Meemskerk and Henry Rowe as other members. An eight-member supervisory board will be chaired by Joop van Oosten, with Wim van Vonno as vice-chair.

    "We have already seen the advantages working together brings, and as one company, we look forward to partnering with our clients to create a positive difference to our environment," Oostwegel says.

    The new company will remain independent and wholly trust-owned.
