  • BC Hydro passing on 33-MW Miller Creek hydro project

LONGUEUIL, Quebec, Canada 6/22/12 (PennWell) -- Canadian utility BC Hydro has waived its right of first refusal on the 33-MW Miller Creek hydroelectric plant.

HydroWorld.com reported earlier this month that the plant -- along with the 7.2-MW Brown Lake hydropower facility -- were included in a purchase and sale agreement that would see them sold by Capital Power Corporation to Innergex Renewable Energy Inc.

Innergex says it expects the transaction to close in July now that BC Hydro has officially decided to pass on the Miller Creek site.
