Servis-Energo wins bid for repair work at Lipno 1 and 2

PRAGUE, Czech Republic 5/22/12 (PennWell) -- Servis-Energo s.r.o. has won a contract worth US$4.2 million for repair work at a pair of hydropower projects in the Czech Republic.

Utility company CEZ a.s. sought bids in July 2011 for work at the 120-MW Lipno 1 and 1.5-MW Lipno 2 hydroelectric plants, which are located on the Vlatava River.

As per the contract, Servis-Energo is to repair or replace generator stator windings and repair rotors, vane adjustment rings and other generator components.

The Lipno 1 and 2 repair work is part of CEZ's plan to modernize more than three dozen of the hydro projects it operates.
