VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Canada 3/19/12 (PennWell) -- Small hydropower manufacturing company Gilbert Gilkes & Gordon Ltd (Gilkes) has announced that it will open a new office in Vancouver, British Columbia, to support all existing and future projects for North America.
The England-based company says this office will initially be staffed by members of its U.K. office but that the North America office will eventually come to include locally recruited members as well.
"We hope that the proximity of the office to a very active hydropower area will give our customers better service from a sales, technical and support point of view," Managing Director Nick Pike says.
Gilkes provided materials for several small hydroelectric projects in Alaska in 2008.
