Regulators approve test operations at Brazil hydropower plant

Brazilian utility sector regulator Aneel has authorized test operations at the 51-MW Sao Jose hydropower plant, wire services reported.

The hydro plant will be able to test its generator unit 1, which has an installed capacity of 25.5 MW, Business News Americas reported.

The plant is owned by Brazilian firm Alupar. It is located in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul.

In another filing, the Aneel also authorized test operations at the 10-MW Caju small hydro project.
