Aboitiz launches Sibulan hydro plant in Philippines

Aboitiz Power Corp. has begun full operations its 42.5-MW Sibulan hydroelectric power project in Davao del Sur, Philippines, regional media reported.

In a statement, Aboitiz Power President and Chief Executive Erramon I. Aboitiz said the project should help address growing demand for power in region.

The Sibulan hydro project is a 42.5-MW greenfield hydropower project. It includes two cascading run-of-river hydropower plants that will harness the Sibulan and Baroring Rivers in Santa Cruz, Davao Del Sur.
