Aboitiz subsidiary planning hydropower projects in Philippines

Aboitiz Power Corporation's Hydroelectric Development Corp. Inc. is looking for sites for new hydro projects in Luzon and Mindanao.

Company officials told reporters the company is looking for additional sites for hydropower plants to meet the demand for electricity of Davao Light and Power Corp., media reports from the region indicate.

Aboitiz Power Corporation recently signed an agreement with the Davao City Water District, paving the way for the eventual construction of a 10 to 15 megawatt hydroelectric power plant along the Tamugan River.
