WAPDA seeks detailed engineering design of all civil work and electro-mechanical equipment and preparation of tender documents. The work is expected to require 18 months.
Major components of the project include a weir and intake structure, gravel trap and sand trap chambers, penstock, powerhouse, and transmission line to Skardu.
WAPDA invites expressions of interest from domestic and international bidders registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council. Pre-qualification documents may be obtained from the address below upon payment of 2,000 rupees (US$26).
Expressions of interest are due by 2 p.m. June 15. WAPDA plans to name a short list of firms to be invited to submit proposals.
