The AEI Workshop, scheduled June 9-11, 2009, in Maputo, is intended for African practitioners, the bank said, adding about 120 people are expected to participate.
In June, the World Bank called for a New Deal for Africa's power sector, urging efforts to develop large hydro projects, initiate regional power trade, restructure electricity system management, and increase electrification. (HNN 6/9/08)
The bank now seeks a consultant to send invitations, book flights and hotel rooms, assist with visas, ensure on-site transportation, book facilities, pursue secretariat services, organize social functions, submit a recording of the workshop to the World Bank and Forum of Energy Ministers of Africa, and submit a summary of final participant evaluations to the World Bank.
