Portugal utility seeks replacement of Alto Ceira Dam

Utility Energias de Portugal (EDP) seeks bids to replace Alto Ceira Dam on Portugal's Ceira River. Bids are due March 12.

Alto Ceira is part of the hydroelectric complex that delivers water to the 24.4-MW Santa Luzia hydroelectric project in the Mondego River Basin.

EDP Gestao da Producao de Energia SA seeks civil engineering and hydro-mechanical equipment for replacement of the dam and construction of an electrical equipment building. Work also includes partial demolition of the existing dam and landscape restoration of the site in Portugal's Coimbra District.

Bid documents may be obtained from the address below for 500 euros (US$737). Documents will be supplied in digital format.
