India developer seeks civil construction of 120-MW Rangit 4

Jal Power Corp. Ltd. seeks bids to construct the dam, intake, and desilting chambers of the 120-MW Rangit Stage 4 hydroelectric project on India's Rangit River. Bids are due October 18.

The run-of-river project in Sikkim State is to feature three 40-MW generating units. Contract work is to include a 44-meter-tall concrete gravity dam, three 130-meter-long underground desilting chambers, and three intakes.

Bid documents may be obtained until October 17 from the address below for 10,000 rupees or US$200 by account-payee crossed demand draft to Jal Power Corp. Ltd., New Delhi. A pre-bid meeting is set for 3 p.m. October 3.
