
Pakistan's Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) invites expressions of interest from consulting firms to supervise construction of 83-MW Kurram Tangi Dam on the Kurram River in North West Frontier Province. Responses are due January 31.
WAPDA is recruiting domestic firms to supervise construction of the 295-foot-tall concrete-faced rockfill dam, weir, tunnel, powerhouse, and electro-mechanical works, plus an irrigation system and remodeling of a civil canal system. The work is to require 60 months.
Pre-qualification documents may be obtained from the address below for 1,000 rupees (US$17). Domestic firms registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council, or joint ventures including such firms, are invited to submit expressions of interest by 11 a.m. January 31.
